Participants will examine key principles of motivation and apply generational insights to redesign teaching practices that support student learning, belonging, and success.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the strengths, values, and needs of the current generation of students.
  • Explore key principles of student motivation and their impact on engagement and learning.
  • Apply generational truths and principles of motivation to one’s own teaching contexts, revising a course activity, assessment, or strategy to better support Gen Z learners.
