Join us for an enriching workshop designed to empower graduate students with essential tools for navigating classroom conflicts with professionalism and empathy. Explore strategies to foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that enhances student engagement and belonging. We will discuss effective approaches to manage conflicts that may arise in the classroom. Discover methods to create a supportive environment where every student feels valued.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this workshop, successful participants should be able to:

  • Identify and mitigate common conflicts in the classroom
  • Identify and implement strategies and resources for creating and maintaining an inclusive and safe classroom
  • Define diversity and inclusivity, describe dimensions of diversity, and identify principles of inclusivity for teaching and learning
  • Discuss bias from multiple perspectives as it relates to teaching and learning
