Adapting the Structure and Elements of your Course for Increasing Class Sizes: OAC

Date: Thursday, July 25, 2024 | 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM

Facilitators: Dr. Christopher Laursen & Dr. Megan De Roover (Office of Teaching and Learning)

Description: This interactive workshop will lead instructors through making decisions about their current course to adapt to an increased class size. Instructors will be guided through a process of identifying and prioritizing course elements they can keep, change, adapt, or put aside (for now). Instructors will explore possible strategies, select adaptations, and make informed decisions for their course and context.

We encourage you to bring your course learning outcomes to the session. However, we will not focus on making changes to them.

This workshop provides a holistic review of your course, while the workshop Modifying Assessments for Increasing Class Sizes enables you to adapt specific assessments.
