Learning Outcomes

Learning outcomes describe the knowledge, skills, and abilities that successful students will have by the end of the program or course. Clear and concise learning outcomes help to create shared expectations between students and instructors. Staff in the Office of Teaching and Learning are experts on constructing and aligning learning outcomes for a program or course. We offer consultations for faculty and instructors on developing, revising, aligning, and mapping learning outcomes. We can also work with departments or program administrators to run retreats focused on learning outcome development or review.
