Program Design

The Office of Teaching and Learning collaborates with curriculum committees, faculty, instructors and students on curriculum development initiatives that emphasize the continuous improvement of courses, programs and majors across the University of Guelph. We advocate for processes that are faculty-driven, evidence-based, collaborative, and learner-centered. We lead faculty retreats through the following aspects of program design:

• Developing a strategic vision for the program
• Creating program and course-level learning outcomes
• Designing a curriculum review and assessment plan, including goals, timelines, ethical considerations, and data collection methods
