This workshop counts towards University Teaching Foundations under the category of Reflective Teaching and Career Readiness (RTCR). In this workshop you'll learn all about Teaching Philosophy Statements: what they are, why they're important, and how you can begin creating your own. Teaching Philosophy Statements provide an opportunity for you to step back from the day-to-day business of teaching and reflect on your practice as an educator, identify what is most important to you. Philosophy Statements are also a key component of a Teaching Dossier and this workshop complements the following RTCR workshop about Teaching Dossier and the Get That Dossier Done! program running this semester. Please Note: Workshops will open 5 minutes before the start and close 5 minutes into the session. After 5 minutes into the Workshop you will no longer be able to join. Facilitators need to have their full attention devoted to the workshop. Note: Some workshops have materials that are shared on the University Teaching Foundations CourseLink site. To make sure that you have access to the correct CourseLink modules it is helpful (but not required) to register for workshops ~1 day in advance so that we can enrol you in the correct workshop group. |
