2023 - 2024 Program Information
The Inquire Program will be launching in May 2023. Applications are now being accepted for the 2023 - 2024 Inquire cohort.

Program Structure and Dates:
The Inquire program consists of a combination of intensive workshops, self-directed learning (e.g., reading, participating in webinars, watching videos on SoTL), and collaborative learning.

Action Institute |
May 23, 2023 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM daily Format: In-person |
A 3-day intensive program designed to introduce participants to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) and provide time and support for participants to launch their SoTL project. Participants will refine their research question(s), identify method(s) to address the question(s), and identify ethical considerations for their SoTL project. |
Workshop: Research Ethics Board Submissions and Survey, Interview, and Focus Group Development |
June 2023 (Date TBD) |
Facilitators will share best practice recommendations for survey, interview, and focus group design. Participants will develop and refine survey, interview, and focus group questions, and receive feedback on their instruments. We will also discuss how to apply for research ethics approval for SoTL research. |
Mid-Summer Action Learning Set | July 2023 (Date TBD) |
An Action Learning Set is a group-based problem-solving approach that emphases learning from experience and acting on that learning. Each participant will discuss a problem or issue that they are grappling with related to their Inquire research project. The group will ask clarifying questions and help generate ways to proceed. |
