Mara Goodyear is a Graduate Educational Developer in the Office of Teaching and Learning. In this role, Mara supports graduate student training through developing and facilitating workshops, networking events, journal club meetings, and the annual Graduate Student University Teaching Day. Mara has been interested in facilitation and learning since her time as a Supported Learning Groups leader in the UofG library during her undergrad. Mara is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology where she is researching antibiotic resistance. During her PhD, Mara has been a teaching assistant for a variety of microbiology courses and taught a course about citizen science as part of the First Year Seminar Program.
