Rachael Lewitzky
Our People
Rachael Lewitzky (she/her) is an instructional technology specialist with the Office of Teaching and Learning (OTL). Rachael brings over a decade of curriculum design and teaching experience to the team at OTL. Her scholarship ranges across the lifespan – she has taught in K-12, college, and university settings in addition to coaching and volunteering. A primary focus of her work is synthesizing technology, pedagogy, and content knowledge to support and empower educators and learners via consultations, webinars, workshops, mentorship, and research.
Prior to joining OTL, Rachael worked as a K-12 teacher in Vancouver, instructional digital media developer at the University of Waterloo, and as an instructor at Brock University, Conestoga College, George Brown College, University of Toronto, and Wilfrid Laurier University. Rachael was also a director on the University of Guelph Alumni Association from 2019-2022. She has a B.Sc. in applied mathematics and statistics from the University of Guelph, a B.Ed. in mathematics from the University of British Columbia, a M.Ed. in teaching and learning from the University of Ottawa, and a Ph.D. in curriculum and pedagogy from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto.
