OTL Book Club Fall 2022

During Fall 2022, the Office of Teaching and Learning will be host an online book club to discuss Infusing Critical Thinking into Your Course: A Concrete, Practical Approach (Nilson, 2021). Book club discussions are open to all University of Guelph faculty and instructional staff (including sessionals). At each meeting, book club members will take part in a facilitated discussion of 3 chapters of the book and discuss your thoughts, questions or share experiences from their own classes.

Since its inception in 2006, the Learning Enhancement Fund (LEF) has provided funding to support and enrich the learning experience of our undergraduate students. This year, we are again pleased to announce this call for proposals to the LEF. Projects typically vary in the amount requested and we encourage you to explore past examples of previously funded projects.

OTL to host Radical Hope: A Teaching Manifesto Book Club for faculty and instructors

During Summer 2021, the Office of Teaching and Learning will be hosting a virtual book club to discuss Radical Hope: A Teaching Manifesto (Gannon, 2020). Book club discussions are open to all University of Guelph faculty and instructional staff (including sessionals). At each meeting, book club members will take part in a facilitated discussion of one or two chapters of Radical Hope and discuss your thoughts, questions or share experiences from their own classes.
